Long Bio
Some artists spend their whole lives chasing a dream. Kenny Hotopp lived a whole life before fully embracing his.
Born and raised in a small Illinois farm town, Kenny learned early the value of hard work, faith, family, and staying true to your roots. His journey first led him to the basketball court, where he played collegiately in Los Angeles and professionally overseas. Along the way, he collected stories, experiences, heartbreaks, victories, and life lessons that would one day find their way into his songs.
Years later, with a guitar in his hands and a lifetime of perspective in his heart, Kenny discovered what had been calling him all along.
Influenced by the timeless storytelling of classic country, the grit of Americana, and the soul of Southern roots music, Kenny writes and performs songs that feel lived-in and honest. His rich baritone voice carries the weight of experience, delivering lyrics about love, redemption, family, faith, and the roads we travel to become who we’re meant to be.
Unlike many artists who arrive in Music City chasing fame, Kenny’s story is different. His music was born from real life—the kind that can’t be taught in a songwriting room. Every mile traveled, every challenge overcome, and every blessing earned has shaped the artist he is today.
Through releases including Truth Be Told, The Whippoorwills Cry, Early Times, and The South Looks Good on You, Kenny has built a growing audience drawn to authenticity, heartfelt storytelling, and songs that remind listeners they’re not alone in their journey.
Whether performing solo or with Kenny & The Night Owls, he brings an unmistakable sincerity to the stage—connecting with audiences through songs that speak to second chances, perseverance, and the belief that our best days may still be ahead.
Because Kenny Hotopp isn’t just singing songs.
He’s living proof that it’s never too late to chase a dream, find your purpose, and write the soundtrack to the next chapter of your life.
